Ember's Fate - New Game!
by Sam on May 26th, 2021

Hey, everyone! It's with great excitement that I get to announce the release of a new game I've developed called Ember's Fate. This is definitely a labor of love project and something I've been working on pretty hard for the last few months.

Ember's Fate is a card-driven role-playing game (RPG) that features quick and simple character setup and easy-to-follow rules. Even if you've never played an RPG, you can have a game up and running within about 5 to 10 minutes.

Here's the back-of-the-box blurb:

Welcome to Ember, a world where danger and greatness await the adventurous! Gather your party and venture forth into strange lands, battle vicious monsters, rescue the lost, and, most importantly, protect the sheep! Maybe you're in the mood for something low-key; kick back at the Grog & Dog for a pint or take part in the Sojourn of Remembrance. Whatever you choose, you're sure to have a great time.

Ember's Fate is a card-based RPG in a box featuring:
  • Quick setup
  • Easy-to-follow rules
  • Fun artwork
  • Loads of replayability and customization
  • Stories that can be completed in a single 1 to 2 hour session
Whether you're an RPG veteran or a newcomer to the genre, Ember's Fate has something for everyone.

We're looking at launching Ember's Fate on June 19, which, not-so-coincidently, is the Artist and Vendor Day at the Smallville Festival in Hutchinson, KS. We plan run a Crowd Sale through the manufacturer, The Game Crafter. What is a Crowd Sale? It's a timed campaign where customers have an opportunity to purchase the game at a much lower price than retail. The more people that buy a copy, the cheaper it gets for everyone. We want to give Ember's Fate the best start we possibly we can, so stay tuned for more details over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can check out the game's Store Page or even kick back to this sweet Spotify playlist I made for the game.
